It was originally planned to hold this event in Queensland possibly in September 2026. In past LSAA Conferences, expect to have one or two distinguished Keynote Speakers, a session on any Industry issues, a range of different project presentations.

Design Awards would be presented at the Gala Dinner and the entry requirements would be along the lines of the 2024 Awards. Note that only Projects completed since September 2024 will be considered.

Unfortunately the Conference has been POSTPONED and is unlikely to be held until 2027

The LSAA International Student Award and Competition details have been announced.

The 2026 Awards are the third in this annual event designed to attract students of Architecture or Engineering to utilize either new and emerging computational design approaches or to use physical modelling to develop a conceptual solution to the generalized project.

During the running of the 2026 Student Award you are directed to a separate website ( https://studentcomp-lsaa.online/index.php ) for further details (opens in a new tab)

Details were last updated on March 23 2026. There are also the material submitted for the 2024 and 2025 Student Awards on the above website.

Just a heads up:

  • Registration and overall deadlines are fairly tight
  • It would be worthwhile to have the support (input ideas, encouragement, time allocated) from an academic staff member.
  • Past students reported that it was a very satisfying exercise.

Good luck!
